Student Survival Cookery Course |
This cookery course will give you the skills and knowledge necessary for feeding yourself healthily with quick, inexpensive but delicious meals.
You will learn how to cook tasty main meals using rice, pasta, meat, fish and vegetables. We teach core recipes which, with a little adaptation will provide a range of different dishes.
Because sweet treats are good too, we also include some healthy and maybe not so healthy snacks and desserts.
This hands on practical cooking course assumes no prior knowledge and starts by teaching basic culinary skills through lots of practice in a supportive atmosphere.
You will also learn essential kitchen hygiene and tips on food shopping and storage together with important information on nutrition. By the end of the course you will be able to cook for yourself and know what to aim for in a healthy diet.
Each day starts at 10.30am. During the morning you will prepare dishes for lunch and on some days there will be items to take home to impress friends and family.
All ingredients and equipment are provided and at the end of the course you will take home a folder of recipes and useful information.
